Tollywood actor Nani made surprising comments on the controversial Government Order on reducing the ticket fares in Andhra Pradesh. Giving his opinion on reducing the ticket fares in the theatres, Nani said it is nothing but insulting the audiences. His comments had increased the political heat in the state at once.

Nani's comments got a sharp reaction from the ruling YSRCP after Minister Botsa Satyanarayana condemned the comments and said reducing the ticket prices is not an insult to the audience. Reciprocating what the government has been saying all the days that the decision was taken to benefit the people, the Minister said the same.

Stressing that the decision is to see that people won't get affected by the high prices, Botsa Satyanarayana asked why the MRP doesn't apply to ticket prices and why the ticket prices are sold without any cap?

Countering the comments made by Nani, the Minister said that the government will focus on increasing prices of the goods and others. Why will we target the theaters? Should we simply watch if the theatres are selling tickets at high prices? The government has a structure and we will stick to that, he said.

Botsa opined that instead of people from the industry making such comments, they should have met the Chief Minister and get the issues sorted. The theatre owners should follow the guidelines and they cannot sell the tickets as per their wish. The government is aimed at benefiting the people, he observed.

Nani created a storm with his comments saying that business at a Kirana shop is better than the theatre, which provides employment for 10 people. Audiences have the capacity to buy movie tickets even if the ticket fares are increased.

The Tuck Jagadish actor Nani who is awaiting the release of his much-awaited film Shyam Singha Roy said that reducing the ticket fares is an insult to the audiences.

This is not the first time Actor Nani was in the news with his comments. Earlier, he asked why only theatres were closed when the restaurants, hotels, and other places were allowed to function despite the Corona effect.
