YSRCP MLA's henchmen attack toll plaza staff
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 April 2022 5:13 PM ISTIn a shocking incident of power abuse and brazen behaviour, the followers of Pattikonda's YSRCP MLA Kangati Sridevi created a ruckus at the toll gate near Amakatadu in Kurnool district on Sunday. The MLA's henchmen resorted to violence and attacked the staff on duty at the tollgate for asking the MLA's vehicle to pay the toll fee.
According to sources, the MLA and her followers were returning to Kurnool after attending a programme in Turali mandal. The MLA's vehicle was allowed to go in view of the protocol that allows free access to the legislator. But the cars of her followers were stopped at the toll plaza in Amakatadu and were asked to pay the toll fee.
At this, the followers went berserk and began attacking the toll plaza workers. They physically attacked them and damaged the material at the toll plaza. Fearing for their lives, the toll plaza staff ran away from the place. The scenes of the assault were recorded in the CCTV cameras at the toll plaza
However, the MLA was not available for any comment. The police said that they have no information about the incident. Krishnagiri SI Chandrasekhara Reddy said that they received no complaint from anyone about the incident. Sources said that the toll plaza manager too did not lodge any complaint.
