YSRCP MLA rebels against local leaders, returns security men
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Jan 2022 5:55 AM GMTYS Jagan's diehard backer and Santanutalapadu MLA TJR Sudhakar Babu is a disgruntled man these days. He is spending more time in Hyderabad than in his constituency and has also returned his security personnel. Sources said that he is unhappy with some of the local YSRCP leaders from Santanutalapadu and has is keeping a low profile.
Sudhakar Babu, who is originally from Guntur district, was made the candidate from Prakasam's Santanutalapadu in 2019 and he has won with the support of the local cadre. Though everything was hunky-dory for the first two years, differences have begun cropping up between he and some local leaders. The local leaders are questioning some of the decisions of the MLA.
Key leaders from Naguluppalapadu and Cheemakurthy have reportedly met government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and minister Balineni Prakash Reddy against the MLA. They alleged that the MLA was taking decisions unilaterally without consulting the local leaders. They also complained that the MLA was trying to build a group of his own loyalists. Also, they said that five of his personal staff were being shown as the employees of Cheemakurthy Nagar panchayat. Thus, the panchayat pays them, but they work for the MLA.
Meanwhile, PJR Sudhakar Babu too did not lag behind. He reportedly sent reports against his rivals to the YSRCP headquarters. Sources say that the party has asked Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy to sort out the differences between the MLA and the local leaders.
