We Are Ready To Resign if: YSR Congress MPs

YSR Congress Party took up the mission to mount pressure on Centre and State Government once again by launching the fight for Special Category Status & fulfillment of promises made in AP Reorganisation Act 2014.

For the Winter Session of Parliament starting from December 15th, YCP is preparing the game plan to expose the injustice done by state and central governments to AP.

Jagan toured Kuderu Mandal as part of Praja Sankalpa Yatra in Anantapur District on 31st Day. On Sunday night, YCP Parliamentary Committee Meeting lasted for two hours. MPs have informed the media about the stand taken by YCP on Special Status.

YCP MPs: 'Centre hasn't fulfilled any of the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act 2014. When then PM Manmohan promised 5 years of Special Status, Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley demanded extension for 10 years. Even CM Chandrababu sought 15 years of Special Status. They had cheated people after coming into power. What about AP Capital, Polavaram Project and Railway Zone? We will speak about the injustice in Parliament'.

The Lok Sabha MPs opined Special Status would have benefitted even the backwards districts like Anantapur. 'If Centre is ready to accord Special Status, All the YCP MPs will submit resignation in Speaker's format. If we resign without any assurance, There won't be anyone in Parliament to safeguard the interests of AP. Does Chandrababu have the guts to make 4 MPs and 23 MLAs who joined TDP resign and contest by-poll? Assembly and Lok Sabha Speakers need to prove their impartial approach by disqualifying defectors. Centre must take the responsibility of completing Polavaram Project. This situation wouldn't have arised had if Chandrababu didn't interfere. June 2018 was set as deadline for Polavaram Project. If there are no irregularities, Chandrababu should release White Paper on the expenditure of Polavaram Project. Babu is seeking delimitation of Assembly Constituencies for the allotting tickets for defectors. Central Funds were misused by TDP Government. Pawan Kalyan continues to sing to the tunes of TDP Chief. If TDP speaks in Parliament for AP development, YCP is willing to extend the support,' alleged the Parliamentarians.
