YSRCP Went for Name Change To Counter Narsapuram Raju Garu?

The much-awaited plenary sessions of the ruling YSRCP were held recently. The plenary took two massive decisions. One is announcing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as the full-time President and changing the name of the party. The second decision brought a big change in the name the party carried all these years.
The party was founded to cater to the working people, youth, and farmers, and the same names were mentioned in the name. The full form of YSRCP stands for 'Yuvajana Sramika Rythu' Congress. Now it was changed and the party name was kept just YSR Congress.
It has to be mentioned here that rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju created a big issue when he received a show-cause notice from the party due to his anti-party stand.
The MP questioned how can a party which was started with a different name can serve notice with the letterhead with another name. He even sought the intervention of the Election Commission in this regard as he requested the poll body to cancel the recognition of the party for violating the norms.
Now the same was addressed by the party leadership in the recent plenary sessions. It appears like the decision was taken to counter the rebel MP so that he won't have any chance to target or attack the party on the party's name.
MP RRR has been troubling the party on every possible matter and the letterhead is just one of the reasons to trouble the party. We have to wait and see what the MP has to say on this.
