YSRCP Will Go To Any Extent To Defend Its Decisions?
By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Sep 2022 12:52 PM GMTThe Andhra Pradesh government surprised everyone by renaming the NTR Health University to YSR Health University. Crediting late YSR for initiating many welfare schemes for the poor, the government took the decision. Keeping it in simple words, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy named University after his father which was built by the TDP.
On Top of this, the YSRCP is defending itself that they have high respect for NTR, but the decision to change the University name was taken after a lot of thought. From Chief Minister to Ministers everyone is saying the same.
Minister Jogi Ramesh is the latest YSRCP member to defend the move. Repeating what the Chief Minister said, the Cabinet Minister asked what was wrong if the University is named after YSR, who is known as a people's leader and took many initiatives for the poor.
The Cabinet Minister took a few steps and asked why the party which threw chappals at NTR is talking about his name now. The example he quoted stands irrelevant now. Keeping the issue of whether TDP leaders threw chappals at the funder or not aside, the University was built by TDP.
YSR might have started many pro-people schemes. But that doesn't mean, the government can name an institution after him. Despite all this, the ruling party is saying, it has no anger towards NTR and the government thought a lot before taking the decision. The comments made by the YSRCP tell us that the ruling party will go to any extent to defend its decision.
