Former Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan bid goodbye to cricket. In a tweet, the World Cup-winning player announced retirement from all formats of the game on Friday.

In his tweet, the all-rounder thanked his family, friends, fans, coaches, teams, and the country for all the support and love he has received.

"I officially announce retirement from all forms of the game. I thank my family, friends, fans, team, and the whole country wholeheartedly for all the support and love. I am sure you will continue to encourage me in future as well," his tweet reads.

The all-rounder made his international debut in 2007 and went on to represent India in 57 ODIs and 22 T20Is. He was part of the world cup winning teams that had won ICC T20 World Cup 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

In his IPL career spanning 12 years, he won became part of IPL trophy-winning teams two times. He was a part of IPL winning teams Rajasthan Royals(2014) and Kolkata Knight Riders(2012). He scored 3204 runs and claimed 42 wickets in IPL.
