It's Disappointing: Yuvraj Singh On Rayudu's WC Snub
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 July 2019 1:23 PM GMTYuvraj Singh, 2011 World Cup hero, found fault with the Indian Team Management for the way it dealt the issue related to Ambati Rayudu. 'It's disappointing to see what they did to Rayudu. He was a strong contender for No.4 Position, got runs in New Zealand but was dropped after 3-4 bad innings,' he opined.
The All-Rounder said it hurt when a Cricketer looks forward to play World Cup and suddenly he don't find a place in the Playing XI. He feels sad about the fact that Rayudu retired after World Cup snub.
Selection Committee headed by MSK Prasad preferred Vijay Shankar over Ambati Rayudu to play at 4th Position in the World Cup and the Hyderabadi was chosen as Stand-By. Both Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar got injured but Team Management preferred Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik and Mayank Agarwal over Rayudu.
Ambati Rayudu has got impressive average of 47.05 scoring 1,694 runs in 55 ODIs. Still, Kohli, Coach & Selectors hadn't picked him up for No.4 Slot.
