Generally, the Media briefing that is done on behalf of the Indian Army is primarily done by male representatives and army chief. But this time around India has created history by deploying two of its finest female officers from the Army to brief the nation about the operation that was carried out last night.

The briefing was primarily headed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri as he said Pakistan has been known to willfully mislead the world and international forums, such as the Financial Action Task Force. The Sajid Mir case, in which this terrorist was declared dead and then, in response to international pressure, brought back to life, found alive and arrested, is the most glaring example. The latest attack in Pahalgam has understandably generated deep anger in Jammu and Kashmir and in other parts of India.

On the other hand, one of the female officers who was presented in front of the Media for briefing, Col. Sofiya Qureshi presented videos showing destroyed terror camps, including from the Muridke where those involved in the 2008 Mumbai Terror attacks, Ajmal Kasab and David Headley received their training.”

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian Armed Forces to deliver justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and their families. “Nine terrorist camps were targeted and successfully destroyed. The locations were so selected to avoid damage to civilian infrastructures and loss of any civilian lives."

India has created history by presenting two of its finest female officers from the army to brief the nation and the hour of concern.
