Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian award that is awarded to people who made valuable contributions in their field. Across the fields, people are picked for the prestigious award. C. Rajagopalachari: The veteran Congress leader was given the prestigious award back in 1954. In a bid to honor his valuable contributions to the country, he was conferred with the Civilian Award.

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan: A teacher by profession, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan has had his mark in politics as he served as the President of India.
