The West is the dream destination of foreign students and everyone knows this. More and more students fly there to pursue higher studies. These numbers picked up massively. Due to the Covid outbreak, the process was put on hold. Now the numbers went past the pre-Covid numbers.

The massive rise in the numbers is said to have resulted in the growing housing crisis. As per the international media, foreign students in the United Kingdom are finding it difficult to find accommodation. It is said that they could not even get accommodation in the University premises as well.

Reports say that students who land in London from India, Bangladesh, and other countries are facing troubles in getting accommodation. The situation is such that dozens of people are living in a portion due to the lack of houses for the students. Getting a house needs a big process to be followed.

The system in the West is different and those who want to get a house on rent should submit details like paycheques and others to the owners. Most of the students end up getting jobs only after spending a few days. Once they make friends with others, they take their help.

Hostel fees in the Universities are also said to be high and unable to afford the high prices, students prefer staying out. But the costs are also increasing and this is showing stars to the students. One is that the costs are so high and the second one is the lack of houses.

To give a clear picture of the condition, a student who landed in London for higher studies is said to have told a media outlet that over 20 students are living in a two-bed flat. Having searched for the houses for a few months, the students decided to share the flat.

On the other hand, the rents went up by more than eight percent in the United Kingdom. The rise in rents is showing the impact on foreign students who are struggling to get rooms in their budget. Even the beds in the University are also costly.

The beds in the Universities are also costly. UK is also seeing a big rise in the count of foreign students who are landing there. As per an estimation, lakhs of students are studying there. But there is no match to the rise in student population and the accommodation facilities. If this is not addressed then the students would face issues.

Usually, students from humble backgrounds go to foreign for higher studies. They have a limited budget to spend on accommodation and food. For this, they take up part-time jobs. Despite this, they are unable to afford the house rent. On top of this, house owners reportedly ask them to bring guarantors.
