By: Tupaki Desk | 6 May 2026 11:15 AM ISTThe Indian job market has been witnessing several ups and downs in recent past and the situation is not looking very promising in the near future either.
The latest development are suggesting that as many as 88% of the IT companies in the country have been actively hiring employees for the last few months.
But the problem has been with the fact that the major majority of these companies are not willing to hire freshers without experience, and this is primarily due to the AI revolution. It is being understood that AI is capable of doing several entry-level software engineer jobs and hence companies are not looking to hire freshers for these roles.
According to the latest tickle reports, it is being reported that 84% of the unemployed youth in the country are not suitable for IT jobs anymore.
8 out of every 10 engineering graduates, and three out of 4 MBA graduates are without jobs at hand now. This has become a major concern as it is being established that even educated workforce is unable to secure an IT job, which was not the case a couple of years ago.
The responsibility is on the educated population to enhance their skills and be prepared for the current day of market, which has become largely unstable due to AI revolution.
