By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Jun 2025 10:39 PM ISTA newspaper advertisement published on June 12, 2025, the same day as the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash has caused a stir on social media. The ad appeared in the Mid-Day newspaper and showed an Air India airplane above a KidZania Father's Day event promotion. This coincidence led to speculation and conspiracy theories online.
The ad was created to promote KidZania’s Father's Day celebration from June 13–15. As part of the design, a small image of an Air India aircraft was shown flying over a model town. This is a typical KidZania theme, as the company often partners with airlines and uses airplane visuals to create real-world experiences for children.
However, the unfortunate crash of an Air India Boeing 787 in Ahmedabad, which took place just hours later and killed all 242 passengers, made the ad look eerie to some people. A Twitter user posted the image circled the plane and asked if the newspaper had somehow predicted the crash.
Experts have clearly stated that this was just a coincidence. The airplane graphic is a regular part of KidZania’s branding and has been used in their ads before. There is no evidence linking the ad to the tragic accident.
Officials and aviation experts urge people not to spread false claims or conspiracy theories. The focus should be on understanding the cause of the crash, supporting the victims’ families, and improving air safety.
The Ahmedabad crash is a heartbreaking tragedy and the country is grieving. Let us support those affected and allow proper investigations to reveal the truth.
