YS Sharmila, the daughter of late YSR has been in the middle of the news for the past few days with the reports of her party merging into the grand old Congress Party. We have been hearing a lot about this. Ahead of the elections, this development is grabbing everyone's attention.

In the wake of the reports, a big debate is also going on about whether we would see leaders from other parties take the Congress route if Sharmila is made the party's state chief. Sharmila as AP Congress Chief is also on cards reportedly.

Adding more interest to the issue, Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy who resigned from his post and party membership of YSRCP made some crucial comments.

The MLA said that if Sharmila joins the Congress party then he would walk with her. Giving a reason for this he said that he is a devotee of YSR and he would not shy away from walking with Sharmila.

What Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said gave the required momentum to the reports of the possibility of leaders from other parties joining the Congress party due to various reasons.

Days after the MLA made these comments, YS Sharmila responded to this and thanked him.

Ahead of the possible merger, YS Sharmila chaired a crucial meeting with his followers and supports at Lotus Pond. While there is no official information about what issues came up for discussion, it is being reported that she reportedly discussed the merger issue.

After the meeting Sharmila was asked a few questions by the media. While she ignored the questions on the merger issue, Sharmila thanked the Mangalagiri MLA for his comments.
