The consistent efforts of the Telugu Desam government in Andhra Pradesh have finally paid off as the ruling NDA alliance has managed to secure Amaravati as the sole capital of the state.

The Union Government has issued an official Gazette Notification declaring Amaravati as the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. The notification was released by Rajeev Mani, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Law and Justice, after receiving the assent of the President of India.

With this move, Amaravati has formally received legal recognition as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh. The decision is being seen as a major development in the long running debate over the state capital, bringing administrative clarity and closure to the issue.

Officials stated that the Gazette notification gives statutory backing to Amaravati’s status, removing any ambiguity regarding the seat of governance in the state. Following the presidential approval, the notification makes the decision legally enforceable and binding.

The development is expected to streamline governance and planning, as all future administrative, legislative, and development activities will be centered in Amaravati. Government departments, offices, and institutional structures are likely to align their operations accordingly.

The recognition of Amaravati as the only capital is also expected to influence infrastructure planning and public investment priorities in the region. Authorities believe this step will help bring consistency in policy execution and long term development planning.

From now on, Amaravati will be officially regarded as the administrative heart of Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the state’s governance framework.
