Of late we have been hearing reports that former Indian Cricketer Ambati Rayudu might take the political route and join the ruling YCP. Making the reports true he formally joined the party in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He was formally inducted into the party.

But the former Cricketer came up with another jolt to the YCP by calling it quits. He said that he is quitting YSRCP as he wants a break from politics. Saying that he wants a small break Rayudu said he would announce his further course soon.

“His post read: "This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRCP Party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time. Thank You,” Rayudu said.

One week after joining the YRCP he quit the party citing a break from politics. This unexpected development caught everyone’s attention as no one would have predicted that he would take the call. He officially quit the party.

This raised doubts on the reasons behind this. Did Rayudu was not given assurance on the ticket and the seat he wants is the question many have. A few think that the seat Rayudu wants might have not been assured making him take the call.

Earlier it was reported that Rayudu might be given the Guntur MP seat as he hails from the same region. Adding fuel to this, he toured the region and met people to know their problems. But his issue took an unexpected turn with him quitting the party.

Rayudu is among the very few Telugu people who played in the national team. He had a good time with the game with decent records and established himself as a good player. Things would have been different had he been selected for the 2019 World Cup. After he was not selected he quit international cricket.
