Coming Soon! 840 Cr Roads To Boost AP Big Time!

The government of Andhra Pradesh has been fully committed towards the enhancement of social infrastructure, and it has been the case for the last few years. Now they are receiving significant support from the central government as well.

The central roads and buildings Minister Nithin Gadkari has communicated that Andhra Pradesh would be getting roadway projects worth more than ₹840 crore.

This is a part of the highway extension prospect, which would be enhancing the connectivity of Andhra Pradesh with its neighbouring states, including Telangana.

In Andhra Pradesh, the government has approved ₹840.41 crore for the upgradation of the 45.09-km Buttaigudem–LND Peta and Pattiseema–Kovvur sections of NH-365BB to 2-lane with paved shoulders configuration.

The project will significantly improve connectivity to the Polavaram Irrigation Project and surrounding villages. The region is agriculturally rich, with tobacco, sugarcane and palm plantations.

Improved road infrastructure will enable faster, safer and more efficient movement of agricultural produce to markets, strengthening farm-to-market linkages and supporting local livelihoods.

The upgraded highway will also enhance connectivity between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, benefiting commuters, businesses and tourists. It will provide better access to important ghats along the Godavari, which attract devotees and visitors for holy baths and trips to the Polavaram Dam.
