Capital City Issue Becomes A Big Joke in Andhra Pradesh?

Capital is very important for the states as the development and growth would be surrounded by it. Andhra Pradesh has no steady capital. It's been around 10 years since the state was bifurcated. We can understand the importance Andhra Pradesh has as far as the Capital city is concerned.

The capital city was also highlighted in the election campaign. The YCP said that the state has no steady capital and it will build the capital city. We all know what happened in the election result. After the elections, the capital city row took a big turn.

YSRCP came up with the three capitals proposal. A big fight is going on around the issue. While the government wants three capitals, Amaravati farmers want sole capital as they gave thousands of acres for the capital city.

However, political observers say that the capital city row became a joke. Recently former TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy made some unexpected comments. He said that Hyderabad should be continued as the common capital for a few more years till AP gets a capital city.

This became a big issue. Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana reacted to the comments and said that YV Subba Reddy’s comments were taken out of context. He even said that YCP is not focusing on common capital.

Now it’s the turn of former Lok Sabha member Chinta Mohan to add fuel to the row. He said that Tirupati would be made the capital city if Congress comes to power. He even said that a public movement might start for the demand.

Everyone knows Congress has no space in the state to come to power. Despite this, he said Tirupati would be made the capital city. Considering all these aspects many say that the Capital City issue in AP has become a joke.
