Controversy On Anna Canteen: TDP Clears The Air!

Anna Canteen is the brainchild of the grand old Telugu Desam Party as the initiative was started to provide quality food for the poor at affordable prices. The party earlier said that it would launch the Anna Canteens in the state after coming to power to serve the needy.

After the alliance government came to power in Andhra Pradesh it worked on the Anna Canteens and a few canteens were started. Days after this a big controversy had erupted as an alleged video went viral which shows that the plates are washed in dirty water in a sink.

The issue took a political turn with the YSRCP targeting the ruling TDP over this and asking if this is how they treat the poor in the state. However, the issue saw a big twist as it was found that a fake video is being spread.

The ruling Telugu Desam Party said that it was clearly written that it is an area to wash hands and a small portion of the video is being circulated. TDP even asked why they were crying when the poor were provided food.

TDP said that the sink is filled and the staff were removing water and waste from it. A small video is being spread from this. The grand old party said that no matter how much fake news is spread the Anna Canteens will not be stopped and 70 more canteens will be started next month.

Talking about the quality measures that are followed at Anna Canteens TDP said that there is a special place to wash the plates and they will be cleaned with hot water and soap water in a hygienic place.
