In a chilling case that has sent shockwaves through the state, Andhra Pradesh police have arrested three women accused of a series of cyanide murders in the Tenali district. The trio, identified as Munagappa Rajini, Madiyala Venkateshwari, and Gulra Ramanamma, allegedly befriended strangers and offered them drinks laced with cyanide, killing them for their valuables.

The "serial killers of Tenali," as they have been dubbed by the police, are believed to have murdered four people, including three women. Their first known victim, Nagur B., was killed in June this year. The women are also suspected of attempting to murder two others, but fortunately, they survived.

Madiyala Venkateshwari, one of the arrested women, has a history of crime. She had previously worked as a volunteer in Tenali for four years before travelling to Cambodia, where she was allegedly involved in cybercrime activities. The police have seized cyanide and other evidence from the suspects' possession, and a man believed to be their cyanide supplier has also been arrested.

Superintendent of Police Satish Kumar has confirmed that the accused women have confessed to the killings. The incident has raised serious concerns about public safety and has prompted authorities to urge the public to be cautious and avoid befriending strangers.
