One of the leading retailer sales units across the globe, Lulu Group promised a big deal while entering the Andhra Pradesh market. This company was previously tormented and made to leave Andhra Pradesh by the Jagan government, post which the new government sorted it out and created a safe haven.

However, the latest developments are suggesting that the LuLu company has made a series of tall demands which instigated a serious reaction from deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan. Chief minister Chandrababu was also a bit unhappy with these proceedings it seems.

Reportedly, the deputy chief minister was not happy with the proposal made by Lulu group for a food processing unit in Mallavalli of Krishna district. Kalyan asked the exact purpose of this food processing unit.

“Will this food processing unit process fruits, and vegetables? Or will they build a slaughterhouses and process cow meat? If they intend to process beef, then we are completely against it, and there is no way we will approve something like this” Kalyan said. This was further amplified by the chief minister as well.

Another pointer is that the company had proposed a 5% hike in lease amount in five years. However, the standard procedure is a 10% hike in three years. Kalyan was very adamant about the same it seems.

The deputy chief minister reportedly made it clear that the company which is proposing to set up malls in Vizag and Vijayawada must hire local workers and not go for external labor.

With the chief minister and the deputy chief minister firm on this matter, Lulu company will have to largely cut down on their demands and proposals to go ahead with the investment plan. This is the kind of strong administration that would bring companies to saner places and benefit the people of the state.
