The tragic stampede at Vishnu Nivasam in Tirupati has left the Telugu community in shock. The incident has claimed four lives and left 25 others injured. Amid the tragedy, some miscreants on social media are spreading misinformation by circulating unrelated videos to the incident.

One such video from 2022, showing an ambulance driver allegedly demanding exorbitant fees, is being falsely shared as footage from the recent stampede. The Andhra Pradesh Police swiftly addressed the issue, warning citizens against believing or sharing such fake videos.

"URGENT: Beware of old videos being recirculated as recent footage from #TirupatiStampede. This particular video is from an incident that occurred in Tirupati in 2022, not yesterday. We urge citizens to verify facts before sharing to avoid spreading misinformation," the AP Police stated in a tweet.

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu is currently reviewing the situation on the ground. He is angry with the government officials who failed to oversee the situation. He also asked them about how they allowed such a huge crowd to enter the location, despite knowing that there could be a chance for stampede.
