It is already known that the cinema theatres Association in Andhra Pradesh had called for an indefinite strike from June 1. It was communicated that the cinema theatres in the state would be shut down due to the prevailing situation between exhibitor and the producers.

However, the issue was sorted out on time, and there has been no such thing as indefinite strike for the time being.

But nevertheless, the government of Andhra Pradesh is still overdoing the activity. It is now being suspected that a huge conspiracy could have been spun around the theatres issue in order to defend the situation for Hari Hara Veeru, which is arriving on June 12.

State Cinematography and Tourism Minister Sri Kandula Durgesh has directed the Principal Secretary of the Home Department to conduct an inquiry into the decision taken by exhibitors to close cinema halls from June 1st and to find out who is behind this decision.

There have been reports that the Tollywood top four are pressuring theaters to close before the release of the movie Harihara Veeramallu. In this regard, Minister for Cinematography and Tourism, Shri Kandula Durgesh, responded and spoke to Principal Secretary, Home Department, Shri Kumar Vishwajit.

Along with this development, Shri Durgesh clarified that an investigation should also be conducted into the fact that exhibitors and distributors formed a cartel and made undesirable decisions.

Details are also being collected on how many films will be affected by the closure of cinema halls and how much tax revenue will be affected.
