Andhra Pradesh’s Big Progress In GST Collections!

The opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh often target the ruling YSRCP that companies are not coming to the stage and there is no growth here. Irrespective of the parties, the opposition uses the same criticism against the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh government.

However, the situation is the opposite and the state is witnessing immense growth. The numbers quoted by the Union Finance Minister say that the financial and industrial sectors in the state are on a development path.

Taking the key points from what Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, GST collections recorded a growth of 12 percent in the state. Between April-September as much as ₹5,019 crores were collected. Elaborating further she said that the manufacture of passenger vehicles, cement, and automobiles contributed to the growth in the GST sales in the state.

The observers say that the state saw big growth across the sectors after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister. Even the agricultural sector recorded big growth which is recorded at 63. 19 percent which is phenomenal.

The Covid outbreak put a brake on growth in many sectors. But the situation was different in Andhra Pradesh. Despite the Covid impact manufacturing and industrial sectors recorded two-digit growth which speaks volumes about the good governance he is giving.

In Sri City Automobile, electronic equipment and spare part production picked up seeing big growth. The same is the case with the Pharma city in Vizag. Companies are showing interest in manufacturing in the pharma city. As a result, the pharma city is witnessing a big growth.

The observers say that the industrial sector recorded a growth of 50.48 percent due to the companies showing interest in coming to the city and starting manufacturing in the Pharma city.

Across the sectors, there is an overall growth contrary to what the opposition parties have been saying. Irrespective of the sectors, the state is witnessing good growth.
