Can BJP MP Candidates Be Winning Names In AP?

The Bharatiya Janata Party entered the alliance in Andhra Pradesh with TDP and Janasena. Despite the last entry, the BJP was successful in getting a good number of seats. The BJP which has been keeping suspense on the candidates list had put to an end and announced the candidates.

Looking at the list of candidates many have the doubt of whether they can be the winning candidates and help the BJP open an account in the state. BJP has been trying hard to spread its wings in the Telugu state.

There are a few known names like Kiran Kumar Reddy and Daggubati Purandeswari. But what are their winning chances is the question here. Can they get along with the local cadre and work together is the main issue. If we look at the candidates list they joined the BJP from other parties and still got tickets.

Daggubati Purandeswari: The state chief was given an MP seat. She was with the Congress earlier and even served as Union Minister. She tried her luck from the Vizag seat in the last term but failed. This time she is the candidate from the Rajamahendravaram seat.

Kiran Kumar Reddy: The former Congress veteran is known to people as the last Chief Minister of the combined state. She stood very strong on the issue. He is not been active in politics for some time. However, he is given a chance and all eyes are on him now.

Vara Prasad: If there is any pick that came as a surprise and comedy then it has to be the Tirupati seat. Vara Prasad who is with the YCP was given a ticket which is not expected. Tirupati is where YCP won two terms. Many wonder how the leadership could pick him.

Srinivasa Varma: Narsapuram seat has been a sensation in the state due to sitting MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju. He waged a war with YCP and became a rebel leader. Many felt that he might get a ticket from the BJP as he is the sitting candidate. But Srinivasa Varma saw success with this. Though Varma has been with BJP, there is a talk that RRR would be a good pick.

CM Ramesh: A TDP leader for a very long time took the BJP route a few years back. He joined the BJP. Despite being a person from the Kadapa region he was given a ticket in Anakapalli. While many say that his community might help, the track record says that locals always have an advantage.

Not only that, the aspirants also faced a big blow. Rajya Sabha member G. V. L. Narasimha Rao pinned high hopes that he would get the Vizag ticket. He openly expressed his dissatisfaction with this and asked how he could be denied a ticket despite working hard in the seat.
