AP Cabinet Approves 5 Crucial Bills In First Meeting!

The alliance government led by Telugu Desam Party is in power in Andhra Pradesh. The alliance recorded a massive win in the elections and reached power. The Cabinet Members took oath recently and the members were given the portfolios. The Cabinet met for the meeting today.

This marks the first Cabinet meeting after the government was formed. Chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, the meeting saw the Cabinet members in attendance. The Cabinet approved five crucial files on day one.

Mega DSC: It is one of the crucial promises the alliance made. During the campaign, Chandrababu Naidu said posts will be filled under Mega DSC. Even Pawan Kalyan said the same. After assuming the CMO, Chandrababu made his first sign on this. Now the Cabinet approved the file. 16,347 posts will be filled under this.

Scrapping Land Titling Act: The opposition targeted the ruling YCP on this saying that people might lose their lands with this. The opposition parties said they would scrap the act. Now the Cabinet approved the file at the meeting.

Increasing the Pension: As promised during the campaign the pension amount is increased to Rs 4000 from the existing Rs 3000. Beneficiaries will get Rs 7000 on July 1st including three months arrears. From August 1st they will get Rs 4000 every month.

Restroting Anna Canteens: Anna Canteen is a flagship idea of TDP to provide food to the poor at less cost. In the last government, the canteens were shut. In a few areas, the TDP leaders moved the Court to get permission to run the canteens. TDP said it would restore the canteens and the file is approved.

Skill Census: This is another promise by the TDP. When a big debate was going on about the Caste census, Chandrababu Naidu in an interview said he would do a skill census if he comes to power. The file is approved by the Cabinet.

Another decision the cabinet approved is to rename the YSR Health University to NTR Health University. The original name of the University is NTR University which was built in the combined state. The YCP government changed the name in the last term.
