Andhra Pradesh Assembly sessions started earlier today. Following the procedure Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer addressed the House ahead of this. During his speech addressing the House, the Governor made key comments on the state partition and how the state has been dealing with the issues.

Highlighting the bifurcation, the Governor said that it had a big impact on the state as the development was affected. Talking about the distribution the Governor said that there were irregularities in the way debts and assets were distributed. Losing the capital city Hyderabad was a financial loss.

We got a revenue debt with the bifurcation and the state faced the brunt of the bifurcation in 2014. The state lost even the crucial institutions and the state did not get the compensation for the state bifurcation he said.

Having said that, the Governor observed the state was traveling on a good path between 2014 to 2019. But everything turned upside down with the change in power and Brand AP was affected. Companies left the state due to the policies.

Looking at the speech of the Governor he recalled what the state had gone through with the bifurcation. One is that the state was left with no proper capital and there was a deficit in revenue. There are many issues which need to be sorted out between the states including water sharing.

It is known that Andhra Pradesh was cut into two states to carve Telangana out of the combined state. It's been around ten years since the bifurcation happened. The path of both states has been different as far as the growth and development and concerned and the difference is evident.
