Students from Andhra Pradesh attended the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) at Columbia University and stunned everyone with their speeches. Without fear, the students gave speeches and left a strong impression on the listeners. School students giving such speeches grabbed everyone's attention.
Students of state-run schools attending the meetings and giving speeches speak volumes about the reforms that were brought in the education sector that made the students better in terms of speaking good English and getting the accent right.
The Andhra Pradesh government has been preferring the education sector and bringing reforms. Under the Nadu Nedu program, the infrastructure of the state-run schools is changed for the better. Better facilities were brought in to give the students an unmatched learning.
A few students from the government schools were selected for the special conference held at the prestigious Columbia University. Having got the big opportunity, students showed their talent and won applause. The reforms brought up by the government helped them to reach Columbia University.
Famous personality Jeffrey Sachs, professor at Columbia University was also present at the conference. Having been impressed by the students, he had a word with them and heard from them students on the reforms the government has been bringing.
During the interaction with the professor at Columbia University, the students listed their inspirational journey and mentioned how they reached here. Moved by this, the professor said that Andhra Pradesh is doing very well in this and the reforms brought in the education sector need to be praised.
The commendable work of the Andhra Pradesh government in the education sector is not restricted to making the infrastructure and facilities better. Various schemes were brought for the students aiming to lend a helping hand. The beneficiaries are also given uniforms, bags, socks, and other required things. All of these resulted in the students going to Columbia University.
