Trump Tries To Scare Apple Away From India, But No Use!

The President of United States, Donald Trump tried his best to persuade Apple invest investment away from India. He warned the CEO of the company, Tim Cook to stay away from investment and manufacturing opportunities in the country.

I told Tim Cook we're not interested in you building (Apple) in India, they can take care of themselves, you up your production here (US)," claimed Trump. He added that India was one of the highest tariff-imposing countries & has now made an offer to reduce tariffs significantly.

However, this persuasion of Trump to move away from India did not pay much dividends for him as things are starting to look better for the bilateral relationships.

Reportedly Apple has confirmed that they are wishing to continue with their employment opportunities and manufacturing units in India without any sort of apprehension. They have reportedly ensured India that they are continuing with their manufacturing plans here.

This can be considered as a rude shock to Donald Trump who tried to persuade Apple away from India and things are not starting to look very positive between him and his country’s global brand of Apple.

Nevertheless, it is very important that Apple has reassured about its manufacturing and investment plans in India.
