'Balagam' fame Mogilayya Passed Away

Folk artist Mogilayya, who is celebrated for his soulful performance in the movie Balagam, passed away on Thursday. Mogilayya breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Sanraksha Hospital in Warangal.

Mogilayya had been battling severe heart and kidney ailments for the past few weeks. Despite efforts by the doctors, Mogilayya could not be received. Due to financial constraints, Mogilayya sought financial assistance from Tollywood and the government of Telangana.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, Balagam director Venu, and even the government of Telangana extended financial support for his treatment. Despite that, Mogilayya’s condition worsened, leading to his untimely demise.

Mogilayya gained widespread recognition for his poignant folk song in the emotional climax of Balagam. His heartfelt rendition resonated with audiences, earning him critical acclaim. Along with wife Kumaramma, he used to sing a lot of folk songs. His passing is a significant loss to the folk music community and the film industry.
