Bandi Sanjay's first visit to AP fizzles out

Nothing seems to be going right for BJP firebrand Bandi Sanjay. He downfall is as meteoric as his rise was. From a first time MP, he went on to become the party state chief in Telangana. His padayatras and strong statements created a loyal band of followers for him. Everything looked hunky dory for him till the BJP national leadership abruptly removed him from his post.

As a consolation, the party has made him the national general secretary. But even after this so-called promotion, none except a loyal band of acolytes, greeted him. There was no felicitation whatsoever for Bandi Sanjay. As the newly nominated secretary, his first outing was to the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh.

Bandi was to arrive at Gannavaram at 9 am on Monday. He was to play a visit to the Kanakadurga temple and then take part in the voter Chetana abhiyan. However, as luck would have it, his flight to Gannavaram was delayed by four years. As a result, Bandi had to cancel his visit. This was his first programme as the new general secretary and fizzled out due to the delay of the flight.

Bandi had to stay back in Hyderabad and had to address the party workers through online. He exhorted the party workers in Andhra Pradesh to work hard to improve the image of the party in the state. Thus, his first ever tour as the national general secretary ended with a whimper.
