Barrelakka’s Election Affidavit, Manifesto Grabs Attention!

Only three days are left for the campaign activities for the upcoming Telangana elections. The parties in the state are aggressively going forward in the campaign. On the other hand, the national leaders are touring Telangana. If we look at the election nominations filed by the candidates majority of them are Crorepatis including big industrialists. Amid this, a candidate became the talk of the town with the affidavit which says the candidate has Rs 1500 in hand and Rs 5000 in hand.

One name is doing rounds on social media platforms for the elections which is Barrelakka. Karne Sirisha became a sensation in the state. The 26-year-old is a graduate who decided to raise buffalos as she is not getting a job despite completing a Degree. However, her post attracted a Police complaint saying the post was against the government.

Karne Sirisha has as many as 1.66 lakh followers on YouTube, 5.97 lakh followers on Instagram, and 1.12 lakh followers on Facebook. She filed a nomination as an independent candidate from the Kollapur constituency in the Nagarkurnool region. She finished her B.Com degree from the Ambedkar Open University. She is saying that she decided to contest the Assembly elections to fight against unemployment.

For the upcoming elections, she released the election manifesto in which she said that she would fight for the job notifications. The Election Commission listed her manifesto on the website including the details like properties and debts she mentioned in the affidavit.

As per the manifesto, Barrelakka has Rs 5,000 in hand and Rs 1500 more in her bank account. The only property she has is a small roof shed that was given to her by her parents. Raising buffaloes is her profession. She doesn’t have any debts or vehicles. She also said that she has one case which was filed against her for the social media post.

She is using unemployment as a big weapon for the elections. In the manifesto, she said that if she is voted to power she will question the government on behalf of the unemployed. She also promised she would work hard for house construction for the poor and allowance for the unemployed, roads for the villages, free education and treatment, and special courses for the unemployed.
