Bengaluru Police Expose Shocking Puncture Scam

Bengaluru Police have started an investigation after CCTV cameras captured two men allegedly throwing iron nails onto busy roads. The incident has shocked many people because it appears to be part of a planned scam to damage vehicle tyres and make money from puncture repairs.

According to the police, the men were seen riding a red motorcycle while scattering small iron nails across the road. The footage clearly shows them throwing the nails as they travelled through the area. Police are now using the video as important evidence to identify and arrest the suspects.

The incidents were reported on MES Ring Road in Bengaluru, which is used by thousands of commuters every day. Many people travel on this road to reach offices, schools, hospitals, and markets. The nails reportedly caused several vehicles to suffer tyre punctures, creating trouble for drivers and increasing the risk of road accidents.

Police believe the people behind the act may have wanted motorists to visit nearby puncture repair shops. Investigators are checking whether the repair shops had any connection with those who scattered the nails. Officials are examining all available evidence before taking further legal action.

After receiving the CCTV footage, Bengaluru Traffic Police quickly visited the location. Officers used a large magnetic rod to collect the iron nails from the road. The magnet picked up several kilograms of nails, showing that they had been deliberately spread across the road instead of being dropped by accident.

The investigation began after a vehicle owner filed a complaint. He said his tyre was punctured after driving on MES Road. When he visited a nearby puncture repair shop, he claimed he was charged a very high amount to fix the tyre. His complaint led police to check CCTV footage from the area, which revealed the suspected scam.

A formal case has now been registered, and police are trying to trace everyone involved. They are also reviewing additional CCTV footage and other evidence to strengthen the investigation.

Bengaluru Traffic Police have advised citizens to stay alert and report any suspicious activity immediately. They have asked people to use the BTP ASTraM app or call the emergency helpline 112 if they notice anything unusual on city roads.
