Karnataka's Capital city Bengaluru which has the tagline of Silicon Valley of India went through a tough time with the water crisis. Even the government acknowledged this and said that this is the worst drought in recent times. It was a big shock that even the Metropolitan city faced a water crisis.

On top of this, another sensational news came to light which says that Bengaluru recorded Zero rainfall in April. This is the first time the Capital city has recorded such a thing in the past few decades.

As per Hindustan Times, Bengaluru recorded the first Zero rainfall after 1983. A report says that as per the observations, there was no rainfall in April. After a long time, this happened which is even more concerning.

Rainfall is not only important for agriculture but also for water bodies and water storage. With no rainfall, it was a tough time. It is said that the city recorded rainfall twice but the places won't fall under the purview of the city’s observatory.

The last time Bengaluru saw a big rainfall was last year. In November the capital city saw a big downpour and since then there has been no rain. On top of this, Bengaluru went through a severe water crisis.

Now zero rainfall was recorded which is said to be a big concern. Rainfall is the natural source for water and April being a dry month is not what the city wants to see.

However, Bengaluru might see a rainfall in the month of May as per the reports. This can be seen as a big relief to the city after the water crisis. Summer heat will be high in May and rainfall brings the temperature down.
