In just two months after coming to power, we are seeing a clear picture of Revanth Reddy’s mark in Telangana as Chief Minister. He already took a few big decisions. Now another big decision joined the row as a bill tabled in the Assembly House was passed unanimously.

State Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu tabled a bill in the Assembly that seeks a ban on hookah parlors in the state. While tabling the Bill the Minister spoke extensively about the impact of hookah smoking and the issues that come with it.

Sridhar Babu tabled the bill on behalf of the Chief Minister. Without discussion, the bill was passed unanimously without any discussion. Once the notification is issued by the government then the Hookah centers would be banned in the state.

The Minister said that smoking Hookah is more dangerous than smoking cigarettes as not just the smokers but people around them would also face issues. These parlours are not required for society as they pose a big threat. Considering the threat there is a need to deal with them with an iron first, he said.

The Minister said that youth might get addicted to the hookah parlours as the students have more chances of getting addicted. The Chief Minister wants to root out the Hookah parlours and hence the bill was tabled in the Assembly, Minister Sridhar Babu said.
