Court Jails MLA By Referring To Pushpa And Singam!

The Delhi Court has issued a very interesting piece of judgement today regarding a sitting MLA Raja Kumar Singh. This happens to be one of the most direct and subjective pieces of judgements regarding a public representative from the Dilli court, and it has instantly grabbed the attention.

The mentioned Delhi court on Saturday sentenced Bihar BJP MLA Raju Kumar Singh to four years in prison for the death of a woman in celebratory firing inside his farmhouse in South Delhi’s Fatehpur Beri on New Year’s Eve in 2018.

This resulted in the judgement regarding the case with the judge slamming the gun culture and saying we need neither a Singham nor a Pushpa in a state governed by the rule of law.

The fact that the sitting MLA was sentenced to prison in a death case is a part significant judicial development, and it has to be seen how the public representative will have to deal with the same.

But there could be a possible course for this now, and the natural expectation is that the MLA could be applying for bail in the near future. But The significant announcement regarding the jail term in the first place is very interesting, and this is where things are going to be very different.
