The Janasena and TDP have decided to walk together in the elections. Both parties have decided on seat sharing and the first list of candidates was also issued recently. The second list is likely to be announced soon. All eyes are on the second list to know who would make it to the final list.

The two parties want the BJP to walk with them. As part of this Chandrababu met the bigwigs in the BJP. During the meeting, both sides are said to have placed their demands on this and the ball is in the court of Chandrababu Naidu. His opinion might shape the alliance if everything goes well.

Chandrababu Naidu met BJP chief JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is said that the TDP boss told them they would be given 4 MP seats and 6 MLA seats. However, the BJP leaders were not impressed with this and made their proposal.

The political circles say that BJP said they want 7 MP seats and 10 Assembly seats. It is said that the BJP wants these seats if it wants to be a part of the alliance and left the decision to Chandrababu Naidu. But the TDP boss is believed to have other plans and make the BJP leaders understand the ground situation.

In 2014, the BJP was given 10 MLA seats. But the BJP lost the elections. However, the BJP is adamant about getting the same number of MLA seats and 7 MP seats. The AP BJP wing has been saying that its graph increased compared to the last elections.

On the other hand, the BJP is focused on winning the Lok Sabha polls, and for this, it is busy finalizing the MP seat sharing. As part of this, the BJP is believed to have to ask for 7 MP seats.

There are 25 MP seats. Janasena was given three seats already and if BJP gets seven seats TDP would be left with just 15 seats. Against this backdrop, Chandrababu might meet the BJP leaders again and restrict them to fewer seats. Nevertheless, the alliance is in Chandrababu Naidu’s hands now.
