BJP Gives A Political Touch To MP’s Valentine’s Day Post!

Yet again West Bengal is seeing some tense scenes and protests. Earlier the state was in the news for the wrong reasons due to the alleged post-poll violence. The issue even went to the court. Now a few women have alleged that they are subjected to sexual violence. The issue increased the political heat in the state.

There has been unrest in Sandeshkhali for the past few days as women are protesting alleging sexual violence by the ruling TMC leaders. Shahjahan Sheikh and his aides are accused of harassing women who are staging a protest there.

A political fight is going on over the issue in the state. Amid this, an MP shared a valentine post with her husband. TMC MP posted a series of pictures with her husband Yash Dasgupta to celebrate Valentine's Day. The post took a political turn.

BJP gave MP’s Valentine’s post a political touch. The BJP took a strong objection to this and asked the MP’s priorities. The party asked how the MP can do this when the state is seeing tense situations with the row.

The BJP is saying that this gives a clear picture of Nusrat Jahan’s priorities. When women are protesting against sexual violence, she is putting up Valentine’s Day posts, the part said.

What the BJP is saying on this is getting a mixed reaction. While a section of people say that what the MP did is not right as the post was made at the wrong moment. This is the wrong time to make such posts, say a few.

On the other hand, few others say that the BJP is overreacting on the issue. They say that it is not compulsory to stay away from celebrations when the state is seeing tense scenes.
