Big Shock To BJP: After Ayodhya It Lost Another Temple Town!

The BJP has the image of a Hindutva party as it often talks about Hinduism and Hindu sentiments. It also has a strong vote bank where Hindus are in big numbers. In religious places and sites, it is untouchable and wins them comfortably. Kashi is the strong fortress of the BJP and it won thrice in a row.

However, the party suffered a big shock in the Lok Sabha polls as it fell short of the magic figure. In an unimaginable thing, the party lost the Ayodhya seat after the Ram Mandir construction. BJP has been fighting for the Ram Mandir issue for a long time and the temple was inaugurated recently.

Despite this, the party lost the Ayodhya seat. Congress party made fun of the result and said that even Lord cannot help the party win the seat. Now the party has another shock as it lost another temple town.

Badrinath is a famous shrine for the Hindus in Uttarakhand. It is one of the four sites in the Char Dham pilgrimage. Despite this, the BJP lost the seat and the Congress party won the seat.

Congress won the seat with over 5000 votes. Rajendra Singh Bhandari from BJP and Lakhapat Singh Butola from Congress faced the elections. In a big blow to the BJP Congress won the seat with a margin of 5,224 votes.

The results came as a rude shock to the BJP as it lost two temple town seats in a span of a few months. One is Ayodhya and the second one is Badrinath. No one would have predicted that the BJP would face such a situation in the temple towns.
