All roads are now leading to the temple city of Ayodhya for the grand inauguration of Ram Mandir. Marking the big occasion, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi urged Indians to light a diya on the date. He urged them to celebrate Diwali on the inauguration day of the temple.

Ahead of this a few controversies are coming up increasing the political heat. The other day Congress leader from Karnataka Anjaneya kickstarted a controversy by saying that there is BJP's Ram in Ayodhya and asked what the point of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visiting the temple as he is their lord Ram.

Now another controversy has made it to the headlines as a person who is believed to have been involved in the Babri Masjid demolition was arrested in the state. This development kickstarted a political row. The opposition BJP and ruling Congress and locking horns over this.

Nearly three decades after the Babri Masjid demolition, a 50-year-old person was arrested as he is believed to have had a role in the riots that happened after the demolition. The accused was in his 20s when the riots happened.

With the arrest happening ahead of the Ram Mandir inauguration, this started a big political row. The BJP is alleging a conspiracy behind this as it thinks the ruling party is trying to terse Hindus with the arrests. The Big leaders in the state are taking strong objection to this.

Former Minister R Ashoka responded to the development and asked if the government would arrest him and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa as well in the case. His comments added fuel to the controversy.

However, the Karnataka government said that there is no conspiracy behind this and the arrest was made as part of the procedure. A few Ministers said that after having all the evidence the arrest was made.

It is known that Ayodhya is one of the three disputed sites in the country. Putting an end to the long-standing dispute, the Supreme Court in 2019 gave a verdict in favour of the temple construction. The disputed land was allocated for the Hindus and the temple is slated for a grand inauguration on the 22nd of this month.
