BJP Leader Not Happy With Crew Missing Savarkar's Name!

It is a standard procedure that whenever a flight is about to land at the airport the name of the airport is announced by the crew. The crew members alert the passengers about the landing and reaching the concerned airport. But one such announcement led to a big controversy, courtesy a BJP leader's objection.

Senior BJP leader Sunil Dev Dhar was on a flight and he did not like the fact that the crew could not get the name of the airport right. Not just that, he even sought the intervention of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation and urged the officials to look into the matter.

The BJP leader was not impressed with the crew not announcing the Andaman airport which is named after Veer Savarkar. He asked why the correct name was not taken. He advised the crew to get the name right. He shared a video of his interaction with the crew which went viral.

The BJP leader asked when the names of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were taken while announcing the airport then why Veer Svarkar's name is not mentioned. His video went viral on social media and is getting a mixed response.

It is known that Veer Savarkar is a personality who has supporters and critics in equal numbers. After the BJP came to power he is gaining prominence as the party leaders have been talking about him more. When Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Karnataka, Veer Savarkar's pictures were flashed.

Many controversies came to light in India in the past few years and Veer Savarkar's legacy is one such thing. While the right wing says that he is a brave personality, others say that he is not that brave and he did not take part in the freedom fight.
