Big Question: Whom BJP Will Appoint As New Party Chief?

The BJP added another feather to its cap as it formed the government for the third consecutive term. Narendra Modi assumed the Prime Minister’s Office three times in a row. On Sunday Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister and the Rashtrapati Bhavan became the venue for the big occasion.

There were a few doubts about who would get a place in Narendra Modi 3.0. Clearing all the doubts, Modi and his team took an oath. BJP National Chief Jagat Prakash Nadda was also taken into the Cabinet which came as a big surprise. This also started a new debate on who would be the new chief.

BJP has been maintaining the policy of one person one post. Those taking care of party responsibilities won't hold any position in the government. Amit Shah served as party chief briefly while serving as the Union Home Minister. Later another one took over the post.

JP Nadda has been the national chief since 2019 and under his leadership, BJP went to the 2024 polls too. With Nadda going to the Union Cabinet a new discussion started on who would replace him.

It is said that a few names are being considered for the big post which includes former Chief Ministers too. It is going to be a tough task for the new chief as BJP fared badly in Uttar Pradesh despite scoring big in the Southern states.

Considering all these aspects the new name would be announced soon. Let us wait and see whom the Bharatiya Janata Party would appoint as the party chief. All eyes are on the new chief now.
