What is BJP’s biggest worry in Telangana? It’s not the 2024 Lok Sabha elections or even winning them. The biggest worry for the party these days is how to stop the leakage of sensitive information about the party’s organizational strategies. The BJP leaders are aghast that even the most secretive decisions they take are leaked to their political rivals almost immediately.,

Sometimes, some decisions are leaked real time. There are at least two instances where the BRS was able to know the decisions taken by the BJP’s core committee on Telangana. The party strongly suspects that some leaders were keeping their phone speakers on to enable the rivals to know the goings on in the strategy meetings. To prevent this leakage, the BJP has decided on a novel strategy.,

The party in its latest strategy meeting has asked all the members to keep their mobiles outside the meeting hall. They were told to deposit their phones with the office secretary before joining the meeting. When asked, a key party functionary said that this was being done to ensure that the leaders join the proceedings without any attention diversion. He said that many a time, the party leaders were seen fiddling with their phones while the meeting is on.,

Sources revealed that the decision was taken by the new organizing secretary Chandrasekhar. In his very first meeting, he reportedly directed the party office bearers to deposit their mobiles before entering the conference hall. They claim that this would now become a standard practice for the party meetings in future. But, what if the party leaders leak the information after they reach homes?
