BRS First List With 87 Candidates On 21st, 23 Candidates Doubt?

BRS chief, CM KCR has a few sentiments. He even checks the correct Muhurtham before starting any work. As the elections are coming, he reportedly wants to announce the candidate for the Assembly elections on a good Muhurtam. Now it is said that he reportedly wants to announce the list of 87 candidates on the 21st of this month, which is Monday. Earlier, it was said that the list would be announced on Sravana Shukravaram, which is today. But it was changed at the last minute. Though there is no official confirmation on this, it is said that the first list of BRS might be released on Monday.

But this time, he is likely to announce just 87 candidates. Compared to the last elections, 18 fewer candidates would be announced. Observers say that there are a few reasons for this. As the party won two back-to-back polls and the natural negative image it has, KCR is said to be taking calculative steps.

Excluding MIM? There are 119 seats in Telangana. 7 seats among them would be of MIM. This time, the party reportedly wants to contest more seats. If the party focuses on 9 seats, 110 seats are remaining. As the BRS is likely to announce candidates for 87 seats, the suspense on who would contest the rest of the 23 seats is growing. Though there was tough competition in 2018, the party announced candidates in 14 seats. This time, the number increased to 23.

How many sitting candidates are in 23 seats? We have to wait and see how many sitting MLAs would be there in the 23 seats which the BRS kept pending. Reports are doing rounds that 20 sitting MLAs would not get the tickets this time. In the first list, 87 candidates would be announced. This indicates that 23 MLAs would not get the tickets. They include seniors and candidates who won for the first time. The thing is that leaders who joined the party from other parties might also not get tickets this time. The list includes the likes of Vaira MLA Ramulu Naik, Ramagundam MLA Korukanti Chander, and Illandu MLA Haripriya. Ramulu Naik won the elections as an independent candidate and joined the BRS later.
