Etela Rajender also participated in the movement and the same image worked for him in the last by-elections in the Huzurabad seat.

Compared to other states, the trend is prevalent in the South more and in Telugu land to be precise. Supremos of three different parties contested in two seats.
TDP Founder NTR, Praja Rajyam party chief Chiranjeevi, and Janasena chief Pawan contested in two seats. Keeping aside the debate on what was the outcome of this, the three contested more than one seat in the general elections. Telangana Chief Minister KCR joined the elite list now.
Earlier, the BRS chief announced that he would contest the Kamareddy seat besides sticking to his Gajwel seat. He has been representing the Gajwel seat for a very long time. Despite this, the Chief Minister picked another seat. While announcing the decision, he said that he took the call after the Kamareddy legislator requested him to do so.
Now looking at the political developments, it appears that KCR would face a strong fight in both seats. Former Minister Etela Rajender who left the party for BJP due to a shocking turn of events is showing interest in taking on the Chief Minister in Gajwel, besides sticking to his Huzurabad seat.
Talking about the Kamareddy seat, firebrand leader Revanth Reddy is likely to try his luck there. It is known that he is a fierce critic of CM KCR and he won't miss any opportunity to target him. As part of this, he is expected to face KCR in the Kamareddy seat.
KCR has a strong image in the state given the vital role he played in the Telangana formation movement. His hunger strike is dubbed as one of the key aspects of the movement. But we cannot downplay the image the two leaders have.
Etela Rajender also participated in the movement and the same image worked for him in the last by-elections in the Huzurabad seat. Talking about Revanth Reddy, he is a firebrand leader and the supporters of the TDP might also support him. So the possibility of tough elections cannot be ruled out.
