However, one of the major reasons of concern when it comes to considering the electric vehicles has been the charging problem which has been around for a long time now.
People have been questioning the efficiency of these electric vehicles when it comes to charging colder climate as charging the vehicle in such conditions is taking much more than expected.
However, Chinese manufacturer BYD has come up with a very impressive solution for this as they have introduced their new flash charging facility that is charging their cars, even in cold and chilling conditions.
BYD has introduced a new charging system for their cars. The battery recharges from 20% to 97% in approximately 12 minutes at -30°C that is only about 3 minutes slower than room-temperature performance.
The technology was demonstrated using models like the Denza Z9GT after being frozen outdoors or in climate chambers for up to 24 hours. The new approach relies on BYD Blade Battery 2.0 and high-power flash charging stations.
This would essentially mean that spending just 12 minutes on charging this car board result in hundreds of kilometres in mileage, which is absolute dream stuff for electric car owners.
BYD leaves a 3% buffer at the top of the charge to allow immediate use of regenerative braking without overwhelming a completely full pack. This is absolutely sensational stuff that is being cooked up by this Chinese company and good, very well fuel their sales.
This company has started to grow rapidly in the Indian market as well, and it should be a matter of time before they dominated the space with such advancement.
