Mpox Spreading Wings: Can It Lead To Another Lockdown?

After facing a tough time with the Covid outbreak it looks like we have another pandemic to fear about. Yes, infectious disease Mpox is creating a sensation in the world. One after the other the virus is spreading its wings in the countries. It was first detected in African countries and spread to other countries.

In what could be a big concern the virus had spread to Asian countries too. After Pakistan, Mpox made its way to Thailand raising many concerns. A European national is said to have tested positive for the virus. This had put Asia also on high alert.

There are fears that the spread in the Asian countries would be a big concern and it might spread to the Western nations too. If this happens then it would be a big disaster for the world and no one wanted to see this.

On the other hand, there are fears that the spread of Mpox might trigger another lockdown in the world. Due to the Covid outbreak lockdown was imposed in many countries as a safety measure so that the virus is not spread further.

Talking about Mpox the virus is spreading rapidly in the world and the virus is said to be contagious like Covid too. Coming in contact with those who are infected with Mpox spreads the virus which is a big concern.

There are similarities between Covid and Mpox and there are no vaccines to tackle. We have seen how we faced a tough time due to lack of Covid vaccines and many lives were lost. The situation came under control after the vaccines were manufactured and people were administered with them.

Global health body WHO announced a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) as the Mpox is spreading wings. This is the second time such an emergency was issued and there are fears about a possible lockdown again.
