Can Pithapuram Break Its 2014 Number Of Record Margin?

Without any doubt, the Pithapuram seat became a sensation at once in Andhra Pradesh with Pawan Kalyan’s announcement. Pawan Kalyan said that he will be contesting from the MLA seat in the upcoming elections. The ruling YSRCP kept a special focus on the seat and announced a lady candidate from the seat.

Pawan Kalyan fans are desperate to see him in the Assembly House. To stop him, YCP announced sitting MP Vanga Geetha as the candidate. It had become interesting to see who gets to win the seat and emerges victorious.

Now a new thing had come out which started a debate on whether Pithapuram can break its own record in votes. Ten years back the Constituency saw a massive win with a TDP leader recording an unmatched feat. Now all eyes are on the seat to see if the record gets broken or not.

Senior TDP leader SVSN Varma won the elections from the Pithapuram seat in 2014 with a record margin of 47,080. He contested the elections as an independent candidate back then and defeated YCP candidate Dorababu by a big margin. Between 1952 to 2019, Pithapuram saw 16 elections. This remains the biggest margin to date.

As the elections are approaching people want to see if the record can be broken or not. Vanga Geetha is a sitting MP and YCP image is her trump card in the elections. Talking about Pawan Kalyan, his popularity and the alliance are his strengths.

It is not an exaggeration to say people are interested more in seeing whether the record can be broken than in seeing who wins the elections. We might get clarity on this soon.
