A veteran BJP leader who has a legacy in politics for a few decades and even served as the Chief Minister faced a big jolt as a case was filed against him under the POCSO act. Due to allegations of harassing a minor, a case was filed against him. The unexpected development came ahead of the Lok Sabha elections which grabbed everyone’s attention.

Popular BJP leader B S Yediyurappa who served as the Chief Minister of Karnataka in the previous term for some time faced a big shock as a case was filed against him.

It is said that when a woman and her daughter visited the former CM’s residence to seek help. This happened earlier last month. However, Yediyurappa took the girl into a room and reportedly sexually harassed her. The mother moved the Police and a case was filed.

The BJP leader hitting the headlines for the shocking reason created a political sensation when the nation is gearing up for the much-awaited Lok Sabha elections.

The former Chief Minister responded to the case and dubbed the allegations as baseless. He asked why the case was filed just weeks ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Not just that Yediyurappa’s office is also said to have responded to the complaint and said that filing such a complaint is not new to the complainants and the mother-daughter duo filed complaints in the past too.

The BJP is not that strong in the South. Despite this Yediyurappa served as the Chief Minister a few times making him the first CM for the party from the south.
