CBI Records Arvind Kejriwal’s Statement: Arrest On Cards?

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been dealing with a lot of issues with the liquor scam. He became the first serving CM to be arrested and sent to jail. He has been trying his best to get the bail. The bail was stayed by the High Court until further notice.

At a time when a debate was going on about his bail, CBI made its way into the case. As per the media reports, the CBI officials reached the Tihar jail and took his statement. It is said that the officials examined him and recorded the statement in the liquor scam.

The Delhi Chief Minister is likely to be produced before the court tomorrow. CBI is expected to seek his custody in the case to get more details. After the ED, CBI approached him in the case. Now we have to see what more developments would happen.

With the CBI approaching the Chief Minister, a big debate started on whether he would be arrested by the CBI as well. The central agency suddenly reaching the Tihar Jail to record his statement and its plan to seek his custody added buzz around the topic.

Even the National media is saying that there is a buzz around his arrest. If this happens then it would be his second arrest in the case. This is not the first time we have seen such a thing. KCR’s daughter Kavitha faced the same treatment. She was arrested by the CBI from the same Tihar Jail.

On the other hand, AAP is waging a legal battle to get bail for him. It is known that the Delhi High Court stayed his bail earlier. The Supreme Court will hear the petition filed by AAP to challenge the High Court orders.
